Jewellery Care

Our jewellery is crafted to be cherished. To help your Bon Bohème pieces stay beautiful, we’ve gathered a few simple care tips below.

General Care

To keep your jewellery looking its best, we recommend applying any cosmetics, perfumes, or hair products before putting it on, as these can react with metals and stones, leading to tarnishing or discolouration.

Avoid exposing your pieces to household cleaning products, chlorine, saltwater, or detergents, as harsh chemicals can dull finishes or erode natural stones. We also suggest removing jewellery before swimming, exercising, or showering, since water and perspiration can accelerate tarnishing.

When not in use, store your jewellery in its original packaging, a fairtrade pouch, or an airtight bag, ideally with acid-free tissue. Keeping pieces separate will help prevent scratches and preserve their natural shine.

Pearls and Gemstones

Precious Pearl Care
Pearls are delicate, natural treasures—each one unique. To preserve their lustre, avoid exposing them to heat, perfumes, or harsh chemicals. Gently clean using a soft dry or slightly damp cloth, or consider using a specialised pearl polishing cloth for added care.

Maintaining Your Gemstones
All gemstones deserve thoughtful handling. Store them separately to prevent scratching, and clean with a soft cloth and mild, soapy water where suitable. If you're unsure how best to care for a particular piece, our team is happy to help—just reach out to info@bonboheme.com.
